Pat is a 1999 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine Physician Assistant Education Program.

He is board-certified as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Pat is a fellow in both the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants. He is also a member of both the North American Spine Society and the Wilderness Medical Society.
